Summary

[edit]
Description Roadworks signs at Gills Cliff Road, Ventnor, Isle of Wight, due to the resurfacing of Ventnor High Street in preparation for the Island Games in June. Unusually there is a sign saying "Town centre open for business". During the time of the roadworks, traders in the town said takings were significantly down for the time of year, blaming the total closure of the high street, meaning many found the town centre too inaccessible.
