Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Ventilation Shaft, Oxendon Tunnel Looking upwards from the bottom of Oxendon Tunnel to the top of the ventilation shaft, located about half way along this 418 metre long tunnel. The tunnel was last used for trains in 1984 and is now a cycle way and footpath. Although lights have been installed they are not normally lit, so walking through (without a torch) is not for the faint-hearted!
