Русский: Федеральный округ был федеральным образованием Венесуэлы, которое функционировало до 1999 года и прекратило свое существование с утверждением новой конституции в том же году. Он охватывал весь нынешний столичный округ, за исключением муниципалитета Каракаса. Его правительство до этого года было напрямую связано с Национальной исполнительной властью в лице назначенного губернатора.
English: The Federal District was a federal entity of Venezuela that functioned until 1999, and that ceased to exist with the approval of the new constitution that same year. It encompassed the entirety of the current Capital District, with only the Municipality of Caracas. Its government was until that year linked to the National Executive directly under the figure of an appointed governor.
