Vendeuil-Caply (Oise)
Le site est dans une vallée sèche, la Vallée Saint-Denis; entre deux monts, le Catelet au nord et le Calmont au sud. Le théâtre gallo-romain de Vendeuil-Caply est le seul témoin d'une agglomération antique d'environ 130 hectares et d'une grande densité d'habitats et de monuments (places, thermes, temples). Le théâtre est un monument au schéma classique avec son plan semi-circulaire de 81m de diamètre, une scène rectangulaire centrale et une chapelle axiale. Cet édifice de spectacle, utilisé pour des activités de loisirs et sans doute aussi religieuses, pouvait accueillir plusieurs milliers de spectateurs. Certains chercheurs évoquent Vendeuil-Caply comme lieu possible de l'ancienne capitale des Bellovaques "Bratuspantium".
