FORGET-ME-NOT, RUTH FISCHER. THE CHINESE BOTTLE GOURD 1696. Many of the visitors to California seedfarms are very much interested in the gourdswhich the Chinese laborers use for carryingtheir tea to the field. Nearly every man carrieshis own bottle of tea tied to his back with astrip of bamboo, and he seems to think asmuch of his own gourd as if it were a silverpitcher. Some of them are ingeniously coveredwith wicker work, and all of them are pro-vided with a wooden cork and a bowl madefrom the top of the gourd, attached with astout cord to the neck of the bottle. Pkt 10c. FORGET-ME-NOT Ruth Fischer It is of particularly neat and compact habit,and the lovely flowers shoot up strongly overthe glossy dark green foliage.
