Vaudeville headliner Irene Franklin. From the back: "'Stage Star Staunchly Supports Sister-Flappers' Appearing in a 'Bathing Girl of 1922' costume, irene Franklin, prominent vaudeville star and favorite, comes out storngly in defense of the flapper and her manner of dress. Especially does Miss Franklin defend the abbreviated bathing costume, which she claims to be the most sensible thing for beach wear. The charming creationin which she is pictured here, is of aqua marine blue taffeta, the cape being of sapphire blue, lined with green silver cloth. Embroidery int eh form of goldfish, and blue sandals complete her very attractive beach costume."
