This is the aerial view of the main Vateshwar temple; it is found along Saraswati river, to the south of Dethali and about 8 kilometers west of Siddhpur in northwestern Gujarat (should not be confused with another Dethali village in north Gujarat)

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Vateshwar Mahadev temple is a complex of temples near the Saraswati river of northwestern Gujarat. Regional legends link this site to the ashram of Dadhichi rishi. However, the extant temples and monastic structures are restored and recent. Siddhpur has many other Shiva, Shakti and Vishnu related temple complexes, some of which were a part of 10th to 13th-century Hindu monasteries. The ruins of these are found on both sides of the Saraswati river within 30 kilometers of the Matrugaya Tirthadham.
