Description
English: The Varaha Temple, dating back to the 10th century, features a grandly adorned mandapa and houses an impressively carved colossal statue of Varaha, the boar avatar of Lord Vishnu. This temple is situated in close proximity to the Lakshmana Temple, which follows a panchayatana architectural style dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The Varaha statue, sculpted from a single monolithic block of yellow sandstone, stands at approximately 1.75 meters in height and stretches to 2.66 meters in length. It is adorned with intricate miniature carvings depicting various aspects of Hindu art and legends, covering both its body and legs.
