Description

ZONE PALAIS DES CONGRÈS DE MONTRÉAL INSTALLATION Gisement BIOGRAPHIE DE L'ARTISTE Vanessa Lapointe vit et travaille à Montréal. Finissante au baccalauréat en arts visuels et médiatiques à l'Université du Québec à Montréal, elle explore, par le biais de l'installation sculpturale, l'interdépendance des individus d'une microsociété structurée et envahissante d'un territoire. DÉMARCHE DU PROJET Dans la continuité de son travail sur la multitude, Vanessa Lapointe a choisi de mettre en valeur la samare (graine d'érable couramment appelée hélicoptère). Les semences, fabriquées en papiers et aiguilles de pin, recouvrent le plafond. Durant l'événement, les samares tomberont progressivement au sol. Cette installation éphémère symbolise le cycle de la vie et le passage du temps. En circulant dans les souterrains, le spectateur aura peut-être la chance de trouver une samare sur son chemin et de pouvoir s'approprier l'un des éléments de la collection. Artiste finaliste du Prix de la Vitrine culturelle Exposition: Du 27 mars au 4 mai 2014 au Centre d’exposition de la Bibliothèque du Boisé. Avec le collectif Les Louise Capet.
