Summary
[edit]DescriptionValley Pool and Wombridge Church, Shropshire - geograph.org.uk - 335172.jpg |
English: Valley Pool and Wombridge Church, Shropshire The photographer stands on the disused LNWR Coalport branch looking towards Wombridge. In front of him is Valley Pool, and left, distant, the tower of St Mary and St Leonards Church, Wombridge. On the other side of the railway embankment, behind the photographer, is another, larger, pool called Middle Pool. After the railway had closed for good, the embankment was removed and the two pools became one, very popular with local coarse anglers. |
