Deutsch: Vorderseite: D N VALENTINIANVS P F AVG. Drapierte Panzerbüste des Valentinianus II. mit Helm in der Brustansicht nach r. Er hält in der r. Hand einen Speer nach vorn, in der l. Hand ein Rundschild.
Rückseite: GLORIA RO-MANORVM // SMN A. Der Kaiser steht in Rüstung mit Helm in der Vorderansicht, Kopf nach r. zurückgewandt, nach l. auf einer von Victoria nach r. gesteuerten Galeere. Seine r. Hand ist erhoben. Im l. F. ein Kranz. Kommentar: Valentinianus II., geb. 371 n. Chr., war ein Sohn des Valentinianus I. und der Iustina, damit jüngerer Halbbruder des Gratianus. Er wurde am 22.11.375 zum Kaiser ernannt, war aber aufgrund seines kindlichen Alters kaum in der Lage, eine eigenständige Politik zu betreiben. Am 15.5.392 starb er im Gewahrsam des Heermeisters Arbogastes in Vienne. Literatur: RIC IX Nr. 25 b 2 (378-383 n. Chr.).
