Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Vale of Wigmore. Basin in the hills west of Ludlow. This was a lake in the iceage, the drainage running into the Lugg at the gap at Aymestry. The meltwaters found another way out forming the spectacular Downton Gorge, (plagued with wretched gomls), thus forming the modern Teme running into the Severn. An arable area with big fields.
