| Description |
English: Central part of the new iconostasis of the main church of the New Valamo monestry, this iconostasis was taken into use on 20th March 2010, in Heinävesi, Finland. This iconostas was designed by chief icon painter D. Mironenko from Alexander Nevsky Lavra, St. Petersburg, Russia. Old Russian style with themes from the old Valaam Monastery of Lake Lagoda. Iconostasis was carved between autumn 2009 and early 2010 by the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Shigrin fraternity of Kursk area, Russia. Wood is oak and linden (basswood), later protected with medium brown wood stain. Suomi: Valamon luostarin ikonostaasia vuodelta 2010. Puisen ikonostaasin vuonna 2007 alkaneesta suunnittelusta vastasi johtava ikonitaiteilija Dimitri Mironenko, (kaupunki) Pietarin Pyhän Kolminaisuuden -Aleksanteri Nevskin lavran pyhittäjä Johannes Damaskolaisen ikonimaalaamosta. Ikonostaasi on tyyliltään vanhavenäläinen ja siinä on käytetty Laatokan Valamon vanhojen kirkkojen ikonostaasien aiheita. Ikonostaasi veistettiin tammesta ja lehmuksesta syksyn 2009 ja kevätalven 2010 välillä Shigrin Pyhän Kolminaisuuden ortodoksisen veljestön puutyöverstaalla Venäjän Kurskin alueella. Keskiruskeaksi petsattu ikonostaasi toimitettiin Heinävedelle maaliskuun 2010 alussa ja vihittiin käyttöön lauantaina 20.3.2010. |
