An das Röhrchen a kommt der nach der Wasserluftpumpe führende Schlauch, oder wenn man keine solche hat, ein mit Kautschukschlauch abgesetztes etwa 10 mm starkes Glasrohr, das nach der Ventilationsöffnung im Tische oder, wenn auch diese fehlen sollte, durch das ein wenig geöffnete Fenster ins Freie führt. An das Rohr z kommt ein guter, schwarzer Kautschukschlauch von 10 bis 20 cm Länge. Das Zuführungsrohr z ist hier neben dem Quecksilbergefäß q in den Pfropfen eingesetzt. Über den unteren Teil von s ist ein Glasmantel übergeschmolzen, der innen einen zweiten Glaszylinder trägt und mittels der Quecksilberluftpumpe vollkommen luftleer gemacht ist. Man kann anstatt des Quecksilbergefäßes q auch das Gefäß des Luftthermometers in diesem Apparat einführen, dann schneidet man einen doppelt durchbohrten Korkpfropfen so durch, wie bei B angedeutet ist; in die undurchgeschnittene Bohrung kommt das Rohr z, in die durchschnittene das Rohr des Thermometergefäßes; nach dem Einsetzen in s wird der Pfropfen durch Überziehen mit Klebwachs dicht gemacht. |
