Imágenes representativas de inmunohistoquímica (IHC) doble, realizadas en folículos preovulatorios (sin hCG) y periovulatorios con hCG+vehíclulo para revelar marcadores.
El marcador endotelial del factor von Willenbrand (VWF, fluorescencia roja) para localización de células endoteliales y extensión del área vascular (VA),
El antígeno de actina del músculo liso (α-SMA, fluorescencia verde) para maduración de los vasos sanguíneos y reclutamiento de células murales.

Los núcleos celulares se contratiñeron con DAPI (fluorescencia azul) para distinguir fácilmente las redes de vasos sanguíneos de la granulosa (G), la red de vasos sanguíneos, localizadas en el compartimento de la teca organizada en dos estructuras concéntricas interna (iN) y externa (oN), conectadas entre sí por vasos anastomóticos.

Representative images of double IHC performed on preovulatory (no hCG) and hCG+vehicle or hCG+RU486 periovulatory follicles to reveal the endothelial marker vWF (red fluorescence, Cy3) and, the smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) antigen (green fluorescence, Alexa Fluor 488). Cell nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue fluorescence) to easily distinguish granulosa (G), iN, and oN blood vessel networks localized in theca compartment. In hCG+RU486 image it is shown an example of the α-SMA and vWF distribution in a preovulatory-like organized follicle (“pre-like”), while in the insert panels RU486 examples are shown with the typical periovulatory morphology (“peri” in the left upper corner).
