[edit]DescriptionVP9 example superblock partitioning.svg |
English: Example partitioning of a superblock (coding unit) and coding order of partitions in VP9. A frame is broken up into so-called superblocks of 64 by 64 pixels. They can be subdivided either horizontally or vertically or both; square (sub)units can be subdivided recursively down to 4 by 4 pixel blocks. (Compare AV1, H.264) Subunits are coded in raster scan order: left to right, top to bottom. |
