Deutsch: Rangabzeichen der DDR Volksmarine bis 1990, hier Ärmelabzeichen/ Laufbahnabzeichen «Meister» (vergleichbar OR-6, NATO) bis «Stabsobermeister» (OR-8) sowie «Offiziersschüler » – seemännische Laufbahn.
English: Rang insignia of the GDR Volksmarine, here cuff insignia, used for «Meister» (comparable to OR-6, NATO) up to «Stabsobermeister» (OR-8), as well as «Offiziersschüler » – nautical career.
