VMFAT-501 is the Corps’ only active training squadron for the F-35B, which will provide a multi-role, fifth-generation fighter attack capability for the Marine Air-Ground Task Force. VMFAT-501 is based at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, S.C., and VMGR-252 is based at MCAS Cherry Point. |
