Description
English: Original caption: Pilots and senior support personnel of VMA-542 'Tigers' pose for an October 1990 group photograph. These men flew 1,037 combat sorties and delivered more than two million pounds of ordnance during (Operation) Desert Storm. (Ted Herman) Based on the October 1990 date and the timeline provided in AV-8B Harrier II Units of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, this photograph was taken at Sheik Isa air base in southern Bahrain during Operation Desert Shield.

Author Unknown United States Marine Corps (USMC) photographer. The photo caption states squadron commanding officer, Ted Herman, provided the photo for the book. Art Tomassetti (USMC Ret.) who is also in the photo told me that the photo was taken by one of the squadron enlisted personnel, whose name he could not recall.
