English: VH-YIX Yakovlev Yak-9UM c/n 0470409. Not many Yak fighters survived WW2 but with the end of the Cold War the Russian Aviation Industry was opened up to the Western world and several partnerships were formed ro reproduc Yak fighters for the warbird movement. Most of these aircraft were built at the original Yakovlev factory by Strela at Orenburg - Australian International Airshow 10-15 March 2009. File: VH-YIX_YMAV_20090315_6209
