English: The new presidential helicopter, US-101 medium-lift executive aircraft (VH-71 test 1), landed at its future home, Marine Corps Air Facility Quantico, Oct. 6. The US-101, the product of a joint venture of Lockheed Martin, Bell Helicopter/ Textron, and Augusta/Westland, will provide a single platform to replace both the VH-3D and the VH-60N. Developmental flight-testing of the VH-71 is scheduled through fiscal year 2007. |
