Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Veterans of Foreign Wars building, Post Number 6694, located on Pine Street, Dundalk, Maryland, United States. From the flagpole flies the Unites States flag with the Maryland state and the Prisoner of War/Missing in Action (POW/MIA) flags below. The POW/MIA flag has been recognized by the U.S. Congress in 1990 "as a symbol of our Nation's concern and commitment to resolving as fully as possible the fates of Americans still prisoner, missing and unaccounted for in Southeast Asia, thus ending the uncertainty for their families and the Nation." Beyond the wars in Southeast Asia, it has been a symbol for POWs and MIAs from all U.S. wars.
