The Archbishop of Canterbury, addressing the Queen,asked, Is your Majesty willing to take the oath? to whichshe replied, I am willing. Will you solemnly promise and swear, asked the prel-ate, to govern the people of this United Kingdom ofGreat Britain and Ireland, and the dominions thereto be-longing, according to the statutes in Parliament agreedon, and the respective laws and customs of the same?
