Lord and Lady Palmerston, the Marquis of Granby,the Duke and Duchess of Bedford, the Duke of Welling-ton and his beautiful daughter-in-law. Lady Douro, andmany others were at dinner. In the autumn of 1846 the Queen and Prince Albertwent in their yacht to Plymouth, whence, in spite of badweather, they made many excursions, one up the Tamar,going first a little way up the St. Germans River, withits very pretty wooded banks. Tremarton Castle to theright, which belongs to Bertie, as Duke of Cornwall, andJats to the left.
