Description
English:
One storey, U-shaped building with corner avant-corps. Built to Károly Déry lawyer in 1884 Planned by Nándior Jiraszek and Lajos? Lechner. In 1884, a comfortable large apartment and several shops were for rent. In 1896 Ede Déry's sewing machine warehouse was located here. From Vár Street, on the site of the former Children's Library, since 1985 the Kass Gallery is. On the side of the Széchenyi Square there has been an Inter Europe Bank Rt. since 1993 and a CIB Bank branch in 2023. Part of three architectural ensembles - 7 Vár Street=2 Széchenyi Square, Belváros (Inner City) neighborough, Szeged, Csongrád-Csanád County, Hungary.

Egyemeletes U alaprajzú, saroképület, sarokrizalit erkéllyel. - Homlokzatán Baka István-portrédomborműves emléktábla (Felállítás 2008., Fritz Mihály alkotása, bronz mészkő)[1] - Homlokzata a tér felől 6+1, az utca felől 1+8+K tengely sarokrizalittal. A földszinti nyílások félköríves záródásúak. Az emeleti ablaksor egyenes záródású. A timpanonos szemöldökök között a tér felől kerek kartusok foglalnak helyet. A rizalitban bábos erkélyek. A főpárkány fölé csonkakúp alakú kupola emelkedik a bástyaszerű rizalitban. A ház vaskapuján át keskeny kapualjba jutunk, innen balra egy átvezető részen keresztül a sarokba helyezett, lekerekített téglalap alakú lépcsőházon át az emeletre. 'Déry-palota.'?? Déry Károly ügyvéd és neje, Hencz Nina részére épült épült az épület melyben 1884-ben egy kényelmes nagy lakás és több bolthelyiség volt kiadó. 1896-ban itt volt Déry Ede varrógépraktára. A Vár utca felől a valamikori Gyermekkönyvtár helyén 1985 óta a Kass Galéria van. A tér felőli részén 1993-tól Inter Európa Bank Rt., 2023-ban CIB Bank fiók van. - Egyedi védelem NINCS, de része a 'Városképi védelem Vár u. mindkét oldala: 1 -7., 2-6.' azonosító: 3517, törzsszám: 2710 ÉS része a 'Térfalak, Széchenyi tér 2-3a., 7-8., 12-14., 16-17.' védett együttesnek azonosító: -9317 ÉS része a 'Szeged történeti belvárosa' védett együttesnek azonosító: 11378, törzsszám: 11286 - Szeged, Belváros, Vár utca 7=Széchenyi tér 2
