Description

The Jean Racine pavilion was built in 1887 on the ruins of a tower of the old ramparts and was named in 1819 after the writer who used to come here for a walk during his stay in Uzès, from where he wrote, in a letter to A M. Vitart, on 17 January 1662: "... and we have here, nights more beautiful than your days..."
