Description
English: Kanji Dol, length ca. 1,4km, altitude ca. 0,88km, large depression (uvala) in the slovenian Dinaric Alps.

Geology: Large karst closed depressions are of irregular or elongated form. In uvalas the karstic erosion accelerated “along major tectonically broken zones”. Karstification and Tectonics in the Dinarides are considerable.

Uvalas probably developed since Pliocene, maybe even earlier.
Deutsch: Kanji Dol, ca. 1,4km, in ca. 0,88km über NN, ein Uvala im slowenischen Dinarischen Gebirge.

Geologie: Große, geschlossene Karstdepressionen sind unreglmäßig oder länglich strukturierte Formen. In uvalas sind die verkarsteten Reliefs stärker lokal erodiert entlang Bruchzonen, in welchen stark permeable (wasserdurchlässige) Bruchkonglomerate vorherrschen. Tektonik und Wasserlöslichkeit des Karbonatgesteins sind in den Dinariden ausgeprägt.

Uvalas sind wahrscheinlich schon im Pliozän oder noch früher entstanden.
