Description
English: Kitagawa Utamaro (1753-1806): Woodcut print, called Mitate of the broken cart, showing an episode of the fight between Michizane and the Fujiwara family. Fujiwara no Shihei is the tall figure on the right, and appears as Tomimoto Toyohina.
Français : Estampe japonaise dite Mitate kuruma biki, "Parodie du chariot brisé", qui représente un épidode de la lutte entre Michizane (849-903) et la famille Fujiwara. L'estampe est une mitate, une parodie, mettant en scène un épisode historique tiré d'une pièce de kabuki, sous les traits de beautés (bijin) célèbres de l'époque d'Utamaro. Toyohina incarne Fujiwara no Shihei, et Ohisa incarne Sakura, l'un des frères Maru qui veulent arrêter le chariot. Naniwaya Okita incarne de son côté Maru Matsuo, au centre, avec le parasol.
