Summary

[edit]
Description
English: In the late 1960s and early 1970s the area was the site of a processing plant used for extracting the heavymetal antimony. The surrounding melaleuca wetlands were poisoned by leaching of these metals. In 2015 the NSW Government began a significant transformation with over 10 million dollars to remediate the site and turn it into community parkland. The wetlands park was opened to the public in May 2017.
