Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The mosaic decorated the floor of a tomb room. The board is surrounded, from outside to inside, by a wide white frame, a black band, a sawtooth row and a simple shaded guilloche band. Five standing figures in the board are placed symmetrically to the scene. In the middle section there are three male figures, two being in the front seem to be talking together. The one in the back is younger than the two front figures, who have moustaches and beards. Two girls flank the scene on either side. The mosaic is exemplary for the family themes in Edessa (old name for Şanlıurfa) tomb art.
