Summary
[edit]DescriptionUrfa Castle view of Arabi Camii minaret 3913.jpg |
English: Translated from a site on the web: The mosque is in Mahmut Coşkunses Street in the Tepe Mahallesi Harrankapı district of Urfa. This mosque is also called "Old Arabi Mosque". On the inscription on the minaret base of the mosque, it is written that Muhammed Fazili Efendi had this mosque built in 1743 (Hijri 1156). According to the records; The mosque was built on the site of a masjid known as Alihan Masjid. Its minaret is the only example [having a columned part] in Urfa. On the inscription on the inner door of the mosque, it is written that Muhammed Fazili Efendi had a foundation built for the mosque on the same date.
