Description
Español: Conocida con el nombre de Abubilla, esta ave se caracteriza por su plumaje ocre-anaranjado, y sus alas, divididas en llamativas bandas negras y blancas, además de presentar una cabeza crestada, que despliega en circunstancias de excitación o en épocas de celo, mide aproximadamente 25cm de altura y 45cm de envergadura, variando según la especie y el sexo. Puede localizarse en Europa y Asia, teniendo costumbres migratorias en invierno, donde prefiere asentarse en zonas cálidas de África o Asia meridional. En la Península Ibérica, es bastante frecuente su presencia, excepto en zonas montañosas y en la franja cantábrica.
