Description
English: The carved oaken canopy that forms part of the reredos behind the altar in the Holy Spirit Chapel at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. The reredos was designed by the famous illustrator N.C. Wyeth, and painted by him. The central panel features Jesus Christ as Lord, with panels on either side featuring adoring angels. The seven small panels beneath this triptych feature doves, and symbolize the seven parts of the prayer said at confirmation.
