English: The Danish paddle-wheel steamer Mercurius. This colour drawing belonged to the Jespersen Family. The first master of the Mercurius was J. Jespersen, and he might have commissioned the work. The Jespersen family later presented the drawing to the city of Korsør, where the Mercurius had been based. The work is presently at The Danish Maritime Museum (mfs.dk), on loan from the city of Korsør. Dansk: Den danske hjuldamper Mercurius. |
