Deutsch: südlich der Ortslage im Liesertal
Wegekapelle am Unkenstein An das im Jahre 1656 noch vorhandene, dann aber untergegangene Dorf Ankast im Liesertal bei Wittlich und seine Kapelle erinnert der Flurname Ankes und das Unkenhäuschen. Es ist ein einfaches fensterloses Heiligenhäuschen, welches neu geputzt ist; Auffallend ist ein Pilasterportal aus dem Jahre 1708, vermutlich von den Meistern Wolf. Im Fries des geraden Portalgesimses sieht man als Ornament eine Schlange, im offenen Dreiecksgiebel ein ganz zerstörtes Wappen. Die alte Kapelle (s. t. s. Jacobi maj.) des der Pest wegen (?) im 17. Jahrhundert verlassenen Dorfes blieb bis zur Säkularisation erhalten. Sie ist genannt in einer Verordnung vom Jahre 1587, dem Einsturz nahe im Jahr 1715, und wird dann instandgesetzt. Den Küsterdienst versahen, zum Beispiel von 1727 bis 1780, zwei bei der Kapelle wohnende Eremiten, deren Einsiedelei im Jahre 1809 versteigert wurde. Die Glocke kam nach Plein; Inschrift: s.
