Description

UNIVERSITY BOULEVARD University Blvd. from E. Iowa Ave. to E. Alameda Ave. National Register 9/17/1986, 5DV.5331

"University Boulevard serves the south Denver neighborhoods much as Montview Boulevard serves the east Denver neighborhoods. The 1.5-mile route was planted in sections between 1908 and 1920 with a wide variety of typical Denver street trees, including American elm, silver maple, honey locust, green ash, and rock elm. As part of the original Robinson plan, and as a connector between neighborhoods, it is important for its community planning association as well as its landscaping significance.
