Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Universal Waste Management System (UWMS) provides additional waste disposal points to the International Space Station (ISS) and aids in planning for future exploration missions.
  • A smaller, more comfortable and more reliable waste-disposal method allows the crew to focus on other activities and enables further exploration in space.
  • NASA launched the new space toilet to the International Space Station on Northrop Grumman's 14th contract resupply mission in 2020. Another UWMS unit will be installed in Orion for the Artemis II mission that will send astronauts beyond the Moon and back.
