| Description |
English: Union Canal at Viewforth, Edinburgh In early 2008 British Waterways Scotland arranged a contract to dredge the Union Canal within the City of Edinburgh and the contractor, Land and Water, brought in appropriate equipment. Most of this was based adjacent to the Leamington Lift Bridge, just visible in the far distance, but a tug, quaintly named "Mrs P", and two rather battered hopper barges for the dredged mud are seen awaiting the start of the contract west of Viewforth Bridge. |
