| Description |
English: Union Canal at Allan Park, Edinburgh Simultaneous with the contract for dredging the Union Canal within Edinburgh, British Waterways drained a portion of the canal near the Allan Park footbridge one of the temporary dams can be seen in the canal in the distance in order to repair a possible leak. The newly strengthened tow-path wall is very obvious. To get access to the canal bed for heavy machinery necessitated a temporary roadway being constructed on the offside of the canal and the digger on the left is engaged in sloping off the partially restored canal bankside. |
