Deutsch: NSDAP Uniform (Sturmabteilung): KZ Sachsenhausen Ausstellung 2019
English: Photo taken in 2019 of exhibits in a glass display case in the memorial exhibition at the former Sachsenhausen concentration camp in the town of Oranienburg, in Brandenburg, Germany.
  • Uniform for members of the Sturmabteilung (SA), the paramilitary street troops of the German Nazi party NSDAP (also known as the "brownshirts"). The uniform consists of:
    • Brown (tan), mid-length blouse with two pleated patch pockets on the chest
    • Brown neck tie with SA emblem necktie pin
    • A Nazi swastika armband / brassard (Hakenkreuzarmbinde, Kampfbinde) on the left upper sleeve
    • Brown riding breeches
    • SA buckle (SA emblem on a brass two-piece box-style belt buckle)
    • Brown canvas bread bag (Brotbeutel, haversack commonly used by most Third Reich-era military and paramilitary organizations)
    • Knee-high laced boots (without laces) made of brown leather
    • Bugle (hanging from belt?)
    • This Sturmabteilung uniform is an early, simple variant for enlisted men (SA-Männer) , without shoulder strap/cord on right shoulder, coloured piping and rank and group insignia on collar tabs.
    • The SA outfit also included a kepi style peaked cap (Schaftmütze) with a eagle-and-swatika (Parteiadler or party eagle) device on a stiff, cylindrical crown, later in colors that showed the wearer's group and regional affiliation

  • El uniforme para los miembros de la Sturmabteilung (SA), las tropas paramilitares de la calle del partido nazi alemán NSDAP (también conocidos como los "camisas pardas"), consta de:
    • Blusa marrón (beige), de longitud media, con dos bolsillos de parche plisados en el pecho
