English: Uniflow steam engine, Leeds Industrial Museum Built in 1924 by Pollit & Wigzell of Sowerby Bridge. the only one of this type they built. Developed 500 horsepower and was used at Dobroyd Mills, Jackson Bridge.
Was lovingly re-erected in the late 1970s by Brian Kershaw and Duncan Lodge but has never been displayed in warm, weathertight conditions. |
