Description
English: Unidentified Jain shrine of an unknown preacher at Nitpur in Dakshin Dinajpur.The area around this was known as Kotibarsha in ancient times. This land was famous during the Mourya era. Jambuswami (543-449 BCE) was the spiritual successor of Sudharmaswami in Jain religious order reorganised by Mahavira. He came here and spread Jainism in Kotibarsha.
