English: Unharvested wheat, near Hodson, Swindon One of the saddest sights to be seen this year. There are hectares of cereal crop around these parts that are long past the time when they should have been harvested. The consequences of the persistent damp weather are going to be reduced yields, loss of profit to the farmers, who will have to pay the cost of drying, and increased food prices. |
