Denvers Greeting They are the tourists headquarters, the railroad and businesscenters of the State, the places from which all roads lead intothe interior. North of Denver is a rich, irrigated region; east,the rolling plains, sloping gently towards the Missouri; west, averitable sea of mountains; south lie those gems of cities,Colorado Springs and Manitou, and beyond is Pueblo—the Pittsburg of the West. What sort of clothing to wear in Colorado, depends largelyon what you intend doing there. If you expect to spend most,if not all, of your time in the cities, rather than to * rough it,you should take with you clothing of the weight and texture youwould wear at home at that time of year. A light overcoat, orwrap, a pair of stout shoes, a soft hat and an old suit—thesefor mountain climbing, etc. —are also desirable. You will, ofcourse, have with you clothing for all the social occasions thatare likely to arise.
