Description
English: Under Secretary of the Army Brad R. Carson, along with Maj. Gen. Michael H. Shields, commanding general, U.S. Army Alaska, explore the inside of a 10-Soldier Arctic tent during a visit to the Northern Warfare Training Center, Nov. 18, 2014. NWTC is located at the Black Rapids Training Site, 130 miles south of Fort Wainwright, and is the Army's premier training center for cold weather and mountain mobility operations. USARAK Soldiers hone their skills here in preparation for wide variety of contingencies across the Pacific and Arctic. (Photo by Sgt. Sean Callahan USARAK Public Affairs)
