Description
Svenska: Umeå gamla fängelse började byggas 1859 och de första fångarna flyttade in 1861. Fängelset hade interner fram till 1981. På bilden syns baksidan av fängelsets huvudbyggnad (i slätputsat tegel). Byggnaden har avbildats innifrån gården (vilken nyttjas av Café Göteborg).
English: The construction of Umeå's old city prison started in 1859 and the first interns was put there in 1861. The prison had interns up until 1981. On the picture the main building of the prison is shown. The photo was taken from the yard (which is used by Café Göteborg).
