English: The Ulsan Hyanggyo is a public local educational institution from the Joseon Era (1392-1897). The structure includes a Confucian shrine, sage shrines, gates, lecture hall, and dormitories.
Cheongwonru is the front gate to the hyanggyo. The gate roof is hipped and gabled with double eaves above an open second level that was used as a study area by the Confucian scholars at the school. |

The Ulsan Hyanggyo was originally built during the Joseon Era, but the actual date remains unknown. Burned down during the Hidesoshi Invasion, it was rebuilt at its present location in 1652, last restored in 1992, it's original configuration remains basically unchanged.
