Description
Deutsch: Ulrich Rückriem, Stele in Düren-Gürzenich, 1988–1990 (Teil eines zehnteiligen dezentralen Mahnmals). Bodenplakette mit Text: „Diese Stele erinnert an die 200 Jahre lang bestehende jüdische Gemeinde Gürzenich. Ihre Synagoge, im Jahr 1906 ihrer Bestimmung übergeben, wurde in der Reichspogromnacht 1938 zerstört, aber nicht in Brand gesetzt, um die benachbarten Gebäude nicht zu gefährden. 1988 – 90 errichtete die Stadt Düren zehn von U. Rückriem geschaffene Stelen.“
