Ukrainian Church of John in Nielepkowice, built in 1718, destroyed in 1950-s

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Wooden Greek Catholic church of St. John the Theologian in Nielepkowice was built in 1718. Originally it was a trilateral wooden church with one bath over the nave and a bell tower over the maidens. In 1788, the church was somewhat rebuilt - a bell tower was disassembled over the maid and erected separately. The church survived both world wars, but in the early 1950s it was disassembled by the Polish authorities after deportation of local Ukrainian population.
