Description
Deutsch: An der Grafenberger Allee steht ein einsamer alter Uhrenturm. Er stand einst auf dem Werksgelände der Eisengießerei Haniel & Lueg, die 1975 ihre Tore schloss. Der im Jahre 1875 erbaute und heute denkmalgeschützte Uhrenturm diente damals als Torwärterhaus. Durch ihn gelangten die Arbeiter in das Werk. Der Turm wurde 1995 aufwändig renoviert. Heute befinden sich dort das „Herrmann-Harry-Schmitz-Institut“ und die „Hermann-Harry-Schmitz-Societät“.
